Purpose:
The Experiential Education (EE) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating academic and operational activities related to EE within the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change. This includes developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives such as in-class experiential activities, community-based and service learning, community partnerships, placements, and practicums.The role involves researching, identifying, and creating meaningful EE opportunities for students, while cultivating mutually beneficial partnerships with employers and community organizations.Reporting to the Director, Office of Student & Academic Services, and working closely with the Associate Dean, Teaching & Learning, the Coordinator also supports students by providing information on co-op, internships, and other EE opportunities. This includes one-on-one advising, facilitating workshops to prepare students for placements or job searches, and organizing career events, industry panels, and other initiatives that bridge academic learning with practical experience.

Education:
University Degree in a related field such as Education, Social Sciences, Social Work or four years' recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience:
Two (2) years recent, related experience coordinating a post-secondary experiential program involving placement, internship or cooperative education, using a Student Information System and/or similar database/customer relationship management system and student advising.
