Overview: Pillway Pharmacy is in search of a dedicated and innovative Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Delta, BC. This role is designed for a passionate individual who aims to redefine and elevate the patient experience within the pharmacy sector. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating a welcoming onboarding process, guiding patients through their prescription transfer, and ensuring all interactions are informative, empathetic, and aligned with our commitment to exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer inquiries
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies
  • Process prescriptions using pharmacy software
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Support the pharmacist in administrative tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform cashier duties and handle transactions accurately
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Assistant diploma or certification is an asset
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Kroll
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations is a plus
