Job Summary And Requirements
This opportunity is for one permanent position working 75 hours biweekly.
The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) administers workplace health and safety and workers’ compensation in the territory. WSCB’s mission is to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses in partnership with employers and workers and to support workers when injuries occur. We take care of injured workers by facilitating their stay at work, return to work and recovery.

Reporting to the Director of Information Services, the Manager of Information Governance is responsible for information governance strategies, their implementation, and provides leadership, direction and expertise on information governance across the organization.
Through planning, developing, implementing, directing, and evaluating strategies, procedures, policies, services and systems the Manger of Information Governance protects the organization’s information assets from unauthorized use and/or loss, while ensuring the value of the information can be utilized by the organization.

- Degree, Diploma or Certificate with a concentration in the field of information management, library sciences, knowledge management, public administration, or a related field.
- Significant experience administering information management programs (including records management, access to information, and privacy) in a Canadian public sector organization.
- Experience working with integrated electronic record management systems.
- Experience leading a small team including supporting staff development.
- Experience planning, organizing, and managing financial and information management resources.
- Experience managing the development of information governance strategies and plans, including translating them into action.
- Experience working at a Canadian worker’s safety and compensation board is an asset.
