Case Management:
- Holistic Support: Provide comprehensive case management services, including intake, needs assessment, service planning, monitoring, and discharge planning.
- Safety First: Develop safety plans to minimize risk and ensure continued safety for women exiting our programs.
- Empowerment: Foster positive relationships and help women build their own support networks.
- Hands-On Assistance: Drive women to crucial appointments such as housing interviews, court dates, and medical visits.
- Network Building: Collaborate with community service providers to develop and enhance programs that support women’s diverse needs, including housing, mental health, parenting, and more.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate logs and statistical records to support program evaluation and development.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field.
- Experience: At least two years in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications for communication and documentation.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of domestic abuse, community resources, and case management practices.
- Personal Attributes: Strong cultural competence, empathy, active listening, critical thinking, and professional commitment.
- Practical Requirements: Valid BC Driver’s License, own vehicle, current Drivers Abstract, Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR level B, Criminal Record Check, and flexibility to meet the needs of our women.
