About The Role
We are looking for a Transportation Program Manager to join our Transportation Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong carrier relationships, optimizing transportation networks, and planning for scalable growth.
Reporting to the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing GoBolt’s transportation network by sourcing and onboarding reliable fleet operators, designing efficient routes, and planning transportation capacity to meet evolving business demands. This role ensures that the right fleet capacity is available to meet customer needs, enables on-time deliveries, and maintains budget efficiency while upholding compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management
- Identify and evaluate potential fleet operators in both the U.S. and Canada, ensuring they meet GoBolt’s standards for performance, safety, compliance, and reliability.
- Conduct market research to uncover innovative, cost-effective fleet partners and sourcing opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with fleet operators that align with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Source middle-mile fleet partners to reduce costs and maintain consistent transportation capacity.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new fleet operators, ensuring full compliance with legal, safety, and performance standards.
- Negotiate and execute contracts, including service-level agreements (SLAs), pricing terms, and operational expectations.
- Ensure all operators are properly vetted, certified, and compliant with applicable U.S. and Canadian regulations (e.g., ELD compliance, insurance, licensing).
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor fleet operator performance and support day-to-day operational decisions.
- Track KPIs to evaluate service reliability, cost efficiency, and adherence to SLAs.
- Partner with logistics, operations, and sales teams to forecast transportation capacity needs across the U.S. and Canada.
- Collaborate with fleet operators to align capacity planning with business growth, seasonal fluctuations, and evolving customer requirements.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and proactively adjust fleet capacity.
- Develop strategies to optimize fleet usage, including route consolidation and network efficiency improvements.
- Continuously refine sourcing, vetting, and onboarding processes to drive scalability and operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with operations to ensure seamless integration of new fleet operators into GoBolt’s logistics network.
- Leverage internal feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvements in fleet partner processes and engagement.
- You have experience in transportation, logistics, or operations program management, ideally in a fast-paced or scaling environment such as a startup or 3PL.
- You have a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects from planning through execution, driving efficiency, compliance, and measurable results.
- You build strong, trust-based relationships with fleet partners and know how to negotiate contracts that align with business goals.
- You are data-driven, with solid skills in Excel or Google Sheets, and use reporting tools to inform decisions and optimize performance.
- You stay organized, adapt quickly, and take initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
- You have experience working with fleet operators across both last-mile and middle-mile logistics.
- You are familiar with fleet compliance platforms like Haul Compliance and have used DocuSign or similar tools to streamline contract management.
- You have a working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian transportation regulations, including ELD compliance, insurance, and licensing.
- You have supported or implemented routing tools or transportation management systems (TMS).
- You hold certifications or formal training in supply chain, transportation, or logistics management.
