We are looking for a Product Manager – Edge Banding to join our Marketing team at our Simtab NEOS offices, a division of Richelieu located in Laval, under the supervision of the Director of Innovation and Product Development.

Your role will include identifying and developing business opportunities to achieve Richelieu Hardware’s sales objectives. You must be able to find innovative solutions and have strong skills and a keen interest in product development, prospecting, and acquiring new clients to maximize sales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop the North American strategic plan for edge banding.
  • Acquire new clients by analyzing market potential to identify industries and prospective companies in various territories, and build lists of potential suppliers and customers.
  • Work closely with the panels team and the current sales force to support representatives and increase their sales.
  • Set up a market and trend monitoring system and produce quarterly reports.
  • Ensure we have the necessary sales tools to support growth (catalogs, website, brochures, videos, etc.).
  • Ensure Richelieu’s presence in relevant associations and trade shows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed studies in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management.
  • Experience in distribution and knowledge of edge banding.
  • Strong business acumen and proven negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel across Canada and the United States for approximately twelve weeks per year.
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
  • Ability to effectively use all marketing tools and computer software.

Please note that this position requires a strong ability to match edge banding colors with panels, a key skill to ensure product aesthetics; therefore, unaltered color vision is required (color blindness may pose a challenge in performing these tasks).
