Senior Auditor (SOX, Operational, IT & Data Analytics)

Location: Global EA Offices

Department: Global Audit

Work model: Hybrid, 3 days per week, in-person attendance in the office

Department Overview – Global Audit

Global Audit is an independent assurance and business advisory organization that provides critical insight and guidance to EA's Audit Committee, senior management, and operations. We help evaluate and enhance EA’s risk management, internal controls, and governance systems through a risk-based and data-driven approach.

Role Overview

As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in EA’s risk and compliance programs. Your responsibilities will span across financial, operational, IT, and data analytics audits. You will also contribute to the department’s development of automated and advanced analytics capabilities, enabling scalable insights and innovation in audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance

  • Conduct financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits, including SOX testing.
  • Design audit programs and perform fieldwork including walkthroughs, control testing, and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of control structures, operating procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Perform quarterly issue follow-ups and contribute to formal audit reporting.
  • Support audits of processes and internal control effectiveness, compliance framework, technology, including new system implementations, cloud technologies, privacy controls, and risk management

Data Analytics & Automation

  • Maintain and support development of data dashboards and business intelligence tools to support audit and business processes.
  • Extract, cleanse, and analyze data to test hypotheses and address strategic questions.
  • Leverage tools like SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI for advanced analytics and automation opportunities.
  • Explore and implement machine learning techniques to enhance audit planning and risk detection.
  • Collaboration & Advisory
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to build strong relationships and provide advisory services.
  • Participate in the development of audit methodologies, work programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and learning within a globally dispersed audit team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, frameworks (IPPF, US GAAP, IFRS), and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CISSP.

Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in internal/external audit, risk management, data analytics, and/or IT auditing.
  • Proven experience with audit software, data analytics tools, and business process analysis.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT general controls, security practices, and data privacy.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or other similar platforms.
  • Experience in evaluating enterprise applications and technology governance.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • High level of integrity, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.

Additional Information

  • Willingness to work across multiple time zones and travel internationally (up to 20–25%).
  • Experience in the gaming industry or a passion for gaming is a plus.

Bc Compensation And Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $75,900 - $105,600 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
