About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Solutions Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at TELUS Health. This role is crucial in supporting our transformation initiatives across our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare data platform, contributing to improved patient care and healthcare system optimization.


What You'll Do


  • Lead the transformation of EMR systems by analyzing, documenting, and implementing improvements that enhance patient care delivery and support strategic healthcare system alignment
  • Facilitate the integration and standardization of healthcare data using FHIR standards across multiple EMR platforms (PSS, MedAccess, Medesync)
  • Drive requirements gathering and analysis for healthcare data exchange and interoperability initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, document requirements, and propose solutions for data enablement and commercialization efforts
  • Create and maintain reusable analysis artifacts that support healthcare data product planning
  • Partner with clinical teams to optimize workflows and ensure successful adoption of new features
  • Support provincial data enablement initiatives and interoperability roadmap implementation
  • Contribute to data transformation projects supporting various downstream use-cases including research and analytics

What You'll Bring


Required Experience & Skills


  • Minimum 4+ years of experience implementing change in healthcare settings, specifically with Clinical EMR systems and/or provincial health agencies
  • 4+ years conducting current and future state business process analysis, with proven ability to identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations
  • 4+ years managing change using agile methodologies in healthcare environments
  • 4+ years developing and delivering clinical documentation training to support system and process changes
  • 4+ years experience in complex business architecture modeling and facilitating workshops with healthcare practitioners
  • 4+ years developing requirements for clinical health data exchange and healthcare data BI/analytics products
  • 4+ years working with healthcare information exchange standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and communication
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability and data standards
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Education & Additional Assets


  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Business or Systems Analysis
  • Administrative or clinical experience in the medical field is highly valued
  • Knowledge of Canadian healthcare systems and provincial EHR initiatives
  • Experience with data privacy and security requirements in healthcare
  • Understanding of TELUS Health's EMR ecosystem (PSS, MedAccess, Medesync) is a bonus

Salary Range: $72,000-$108,000 Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%
