The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager in SAP with a strong background in project management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading SAP projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage SAP projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project objectives, and establish success criteria.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide project team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP project management, integrating new methodologies as appropriate.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, commerce, accounting, computer science, engineering, business, finance and/or other related major
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the SAP domain, including numerous years of hands-on functional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of SAP project management experience, covering a minimum of 2 full-cycle projects, managing S4 Hana implementations would be ideal.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience in planning, executing, and closing SAP projects.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and functionalities relevant to the business.
  • Familiarity with SAP implementation processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Understanding of data management and integration processes within SAP.
  • Financial Services sector experience preferred

  • Strong written and verbal client-facing communication and presentation skills; should be comfortable interacting with clients daily
  • The ability to effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with (leading) proposal writing and preparing and delivering orals presentations
  • Ability to align project goals with organizational objectives and long-term strategy.

  • Meticulous approach to project planning and execution to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Focus on achieving project outcomes and delivering value to the organization.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $120,500 to $216,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
