Sunterra Retail office team members work day-to-day to support the busy operations in our stores. The Accounting Team plays a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business. This position focuses on Accounts Payable, supporting vendor relations, invoice processing, and financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Scope of Responsibility includes but is not limited to:Accounts Payable
- Process high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently.
- 3-way match of PO, Proof of Delivery (POD), and Invoices to ensure only valid invoices are paid.
- Prepare for ‘Cheque run’ to ensure timely payment (cheques, electronic, and wire transfers).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies and aging reports in a timely manner.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
- Create and maintain vendor profiles and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting timelines
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships and accurate records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconciliation of some general ledger accounts related to AP
- Support monitoring and clearing of Suspense accounts
- Participate in fraud monitoring and internal control processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Assist in documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Support preparation for annual audit with KPMG
- Provide support and training to team members as needed
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field required
- Relevant accounting experience required; retail experience is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 365)
- Ability to process and analyze large volumes of numerical data
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Experience in reporting, analysis, and reconciliation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, approachable, and team-oriented
