Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in reactive station equipment to provide technical support, troubleshoot failures, and perform analysis on test results. This is a hybrid role with periodic site visits and the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for reactive station equipment including power transformers, shunt reactors, CVTs, PTs, CTs, and station service transformers.
- Analyze inspection, diagnostic, commissioning, and test data to make sound recommendations.
- Support field operations with troubleshooting and failure resolution.
- Ensure engineering solutions are safe, high quality, on time, and within budget.
- Prepare technical documentation in compliance with professional standards and EGBC requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong experience with HV reactive equipment.
- P.Eng. registered (EGBC or eligible) with valid Permit to Practice (P2P).
- Proficient with MS Office, CAD standards, and engineering analysis tools.
- Intermediate written and verbal English communication skills.
Assets (Nice to Have):
- Experience with switchgear (MV/HV breakers, GIS, disconnects).
- Familiarity with generator equipment (rotor, stator, governors, etc.).
- Background in station equipment maintenance, installation, and commissioning.
