The Vice President, Human Capital Development Lifecycle at TELUS will lead the evolution of the talent lifecycle across our globe by partnering across P&C to embed AI, digital innovation, and advanced predictive analytics into People & Culture strategies.
We are looking for an inspiring and influential leader who will use their deep experience to enable a high-performance culture married with a track record of innovating and digitizing talent management processes for effectiveness, efficiency and with our team members and customers at the centre of our design.
Role Overview
Reporting to the CHRO and Executive Vice-president of People & Culture, the VP – Human Capital Development Lifecycle will drive an elevated team member and leader experience across talent acquisition, integrated talent development solutions and learning and our Chief Diversity Office, powered by data-driven insights and automation. Partnering closely across People & Culture and with key stakeholders throughout the business, the VP will shape the products and processes to enable the full talent lifecycle.
Among key competencies, the successful individual will be a strategic, innovative, compelling and inspirational leader that can articulate the vision and bring together all required elements to execute on the plan. This leader will drive enterprise-wide initiatives across our global organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion the transformation of our development and talent streams: Partner to design the transformation roadmap across key elements of the talent lifecycle including attraction and recruitment, learning, performance, and career development.
- Enable strategic workforce planning in partnership with stakeholders: Collaborate across People & Culture and with key stakeholders to anticipate evolving talent needs, shape future-ready roles, and support the development of succession strategies aligned with our long-term direction.
- Sustain and grow an inclusive culture: Guide to practices that enable a workplace where all team members feel valued, fostering belonging and connection as technology and data reshape how we work.
- Elevate our ability to attract and recruit top talent: Advance our ability to deliver data-informed, skills-based strategies to attract and engage diverse, high-potential talent aligned with our purpose and values.
- Innovate learning and leadership development: Continue advancing personalized, adaptive learning experiences through digital platforms to accelerate skill growth, leadership readiness and a rich team member experience.

- University degree
- MBA or Master’s degree is highly desirable
- Minimum seven years’ experience at an executive level leading a complex portfolio in a global organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing and engaging geographically, highly mobile, dispersed teams
- Demonstrated track record driving transformation across complex systems and processes, elevating effectiveness and efficiency
- Demonstrated experience in elevating and evolving the human capital talent lifecycle, driving improved outcomes for the business
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and execute on large and complex objectives with innovative approaches and solutions
- Experience in large, fast paced and complex global businesses
