We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager to lead fraud strategy initiatives within the Payments Modernization program. Reporting to the Director of Payments Modernization Fraud Strategy, this role is responsible for shaping and executing the vision, roadmap, and delivery of fraud mitigation capabilities across modernized payment rails, including real-time payments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—fraud strategy, data science, technology, operations, and external partners—to deliver scalable, real-time fraud monitoring solutions that protect our customers and uphold the integrity of our payment ecosystem.

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager to lead fraud strategy initiatives within the Payments Modernization program. Reporting to the Director of Payments Modernization Fraud Strategy, this role is responsible for shaping and executing the vision, roadmap, and delivery of fraud mitigation capabilities across modernized payment rails, including real-time payments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—fraud strategy, data science, technology, operations, and external partners—to deliver scalable, real-time fraud monitoring solutions that protect our customers and uphold the integrity of our payment ecosystem.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Payment Fraud Monitoring Lab. Translate business objectives into actionable product features and enhancements, prioritizing initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with fraud risk mitigation goals.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (fraud strategy, technology, products, operations) to gather requirements and align on priorities. Engage with external vendors, fintechs, and industry bodies to stay ahead of emerging fraud trends and technologies.
- Lead agile product development cycles, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality fraud monitoring capabilities.
- Lead the implementation and completion of business validation activities in support of new fraud monitoring capabilities, including tracking and reporting progress to completion.
- Take a lead role in the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Target Operating Models (TOMs), including customer process flows and interaction models. Accountable for delivering documentation such as process flows, playbooks, and annual TOM sign-offs.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in product management, fraud strategy, or fraud operation, preferably in financial services.
- Strong understanding of payment systems (e.g., RTR, Interac, SWIFT, ISO 20022) and fraud typologies.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex products in an agile environment.
- Experience with fraud detection technologies, data analytics, and fraud operation is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
