The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and developing project and customer opportunities to drive sales growth across Atlantic Canada. This entry-level sales role is foundational to expanding our project pipeline and customer base and offers a path into either sales or technical career tracks within Truefoam.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a sales, marketing, or project coordination role (preferred)
Skills: Strong organizational and research skills, proficiency with CRM systems (NetSuite preferred)
Experience or an interest in construction, architecture, or building materials is a plus

Responsibilities
Project Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Research and source construction projects using plan rooms and digital databases
- Populate and manage project opportunities in NetSuite CRM
- Track project stages, specifications, and key stakeholders (engineers, architects, contractors)
- Identify and qualify new customers (e.g., building material dealers)
- Schedule introductory meetings, product presentations, and lunch-and-learns
- Build new relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors
- Conduct initial outreach to project contacts to align on specs and interest
- Coordinate with technical and sales teams for quoting, estimating, and closing
- Support sales reps with territory development and account expansion initiatives
- Collaborate with the Technical Sales team for spec alignment and technical support
- Report weekly progress on pipeline status and lead development metrics
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a natural curiosity for the industry
- Organized and detail-oriented with a proactive attitude toward task completion
- Comfortable communicating with different people across teams and customer groups
- Motivated by goals and enjoys seeing progress and results
- Open to feedback and growth through mentorship and hands-on experience
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer meetings, training events, or project sites
- Collaborative work environment with support from sales, technical, and operations teams
- Fast-paced atmosphere with opportunities to grow into more advanced roles
- Regular computer-based work, including phone calls and online research
- Occasional light lifting of promotional materials (up to 25 lbs) for presentations or trade events
- Able to travel for short durations when needed
- Assist in gathering and entering project and customer data accurately
- Support initial outreach efforts and help coordinate sales follow-ups
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve sales tools and customer engagement strategies
- Work closely with sales and technical team members to learn how solutions are shaped for customers
