Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Privacy and Compliance, the Sr. Privacy & Compliance Specialist supports the development and execution of McKesson Canada’s compliance activities across designated business units. This includes reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), implementing new compliance requirements, leading cross-functional projects, and driving policy and process improvements. The role also involves managing investigations, mentoring team members, and promoting a digital-first approach to privacy and compliance operations.

Location: 2300 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON

Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our designated office location. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on PIAs to ensure regulatory and organizational alignment.
  • Implement new compliance requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects involving privacy, compliance, and data governance.
  • Drive policy and process updates to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
  • Manage privacy incidents and investigations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert within assigned business units.
  • Mentor junior team members and lead departmental initiatives.
  • Deliver training and presentations on privacy and compliance topics.
  • Collaborate with teams across Legal, IT, HR, Quality, and U.S. counterparts to ensure consistent standards.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and business processes aligned with privacy laws and best practices.
  • Support regulatory and customer inspections, including preparation and follow-up.
  • Champion digital-first solutions to enhance compliance operations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in a related role, with a minimum of 5 years in compliance, privacy, or regulatory affairs.
  • Experience with PIAs, incident management, and compliance implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA, PHIPA, GDPR).


Core Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with compliance tools is an asset.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual (French-English) and PMP or CIPP/C certification are assets.
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,100 - $123,500
