The challenges that await you
Perform tasks related to matching and following up on files subject to payment by the Finance Department. Discuss with the City suppliers the progress of their files and the procedure related to their payment.
- Receive, classify, and attach correspondence and documentation related to supplier files and, if necessary, communicate with them to obtain any missing documents;
- Verify supplier data, such as number, business address, company names, etc.;
- Ensure with the Requesting Services that the billed goods have been delivered and that the purchase order is complete. Verify the signatures of authorized persons upon receipt of goods and services. Obtain all missing supporting documents;
- Perform mathematical checks of invoices and other supporting documents, obtain all relevant explanations from stakeholders regarding the files;
- Analyze invoices and other received documents to allocate payable amounts to each purchase requisition or bid. Ensure that the sum of the allocated amounts equals the total of the invoice or other documents.
- Have completed a college diploma in accounting or equivalent;
- Have two (2) years of experience in a similar role;
- Master the software in the MSOffice suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
