Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Job Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine the root cause of malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Align and calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment status.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Occupational Standard Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification required
  • Must possess a valid Class G Driver's License (or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.

Working Conditions

  • The Millwright will work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • The role may require working at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials.
  • Overtime, weekend, and on-call work may be required to address urgent maintenance needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and machinery.
