Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead and mentor warehouse personnel with a focus on performance optimization, accountability, and personal development.
- Conduct performance evaluations, support succession planning, and build a collaborative team culture aligned with company values.
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to both onboarding and ongoing skill enhancement.
- Coordinate daily warehouse functions including inbound/outbound logistics, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
- Implement lean methodologies to reduce waste and minimize downtime.
- Utilize data and KPIs to track productivity, assess bottlenecks, and improve warehouse workflows.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Champion a safety-first culture by integrating awareness, accountability, and prevention into everyday operations.
- Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead accurate and timely cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse management system (WMS) and RF scanning protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and logistics teams to pre-empt potential disruptions.
- Act as a liaison between operations and customer service teams to resolve escalations swiftly and professionally.
- Maintain high service standards while balancing productivity goals.
- Maintain documentation related to shipments, receiving, inventory, safety checks, and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in budget planning and cost-saving initiatives related to warehousing operations.
- Provide operational insights to support continuous improvement and long-term strategic decisions.
