THE OPPORTUNITY: Published on Main is currently seeking someone great, to join our team behind the bar.


START DATE: Immediately


As a bartender you will be a critical component of a successful service. Your role is to seamlessly blend skill with engagement, ensuring each guest's experience is extraordinary. In this role, you will be the face of our culinary & beverage ethos and the essence of hospitality.


RESPONSIBILITIES


OPERATIONS


  • Prepare the bar area for service, ensuring it's set to welcome guests with our standard of excellence.
  • Accurately execute steps of service and/or cocktail preparation.
  • Prepare and maintain mise en place, ensuring all ingredients, stock and tools are ready for peak service times.
  • Execute end-of-service duties with efficiency, ensuring the dining area is reset, cleaned, and ready for the following service.
  • Assist on the floor and/or fill in floor service shifts as needed


GUEST EXPERIENCE & ENGAGEMENT


  • Provide attentive and personalized service, guiding guests through our offerings with expert knowledge and genuine warmth.
  • Tailor each guest's experience by your thorough understanding of our bar, wine selections, and culinary principles.
  • Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager to uncover unique guest information and preferences, building our guest database.


PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE


  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our menus, including all food, features, add ons, bar and wine offerings, to enhance guest interactions and satisfaction.
  • Actively engage in learning sessions and team briefings to deepen your understanding of our restaurant's ethos.


TEAM ENGAGEMENT & CULTURE


  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere, supporting and collaborating with your team to provide a cohesive guest experience.
  • Contribute to team dynamics with a cooperative spirit and open communication.
  • Engage in continuous learning about our offerings and the industry, sharing knowledge with both guests and team members.


STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE


  • Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service, seamlessly integrating health and safety practices into daily responsibilities.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to maintain operational excellence and guest safety.
  • Adhere to all cleaning protocols, maintaining an immaculate dining environment.

REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant hospitality experience with a love of food, wine and cocktails and a desire to continue to grow and learn in an ever changing environment.
  • WSET 2
  • Serving it Right Certifications
  • Weekends and evenings being a must.
