ADDICTION CRISIS WORKER (25-0000643)
Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPITAL
Status: Part Time
Site: Withdrawal Management
Shifts: Days/Nights including weekends
Rate of Pay: $28.769 - $29.399 per hour
We are recruiting for Part Time Addiction Crisis Worker positions at Withdrawal Mangement Program. We provide medically monitored withdrawal management services to men and women over the age of 16. Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Addiction Crisis Worker facilitates admissions and transitions, supportive intervention during withdrawal and stabilization and facilitates group programming. This is a rewarding role working as part of a team to provide client-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.

Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years post secondary education in a Human Services field (eg. addictions, social work, psychology) and/or a combination of addictions training and previous working experience in an addiction field
- Previous experience in Behaviour Management
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Candidate must possess an awareness and understanding of chemical dependency and be familiar with the recovery process including community resources
- Experience with computer-based data entry is an asset
- Class G Driver's Licence and adequate insurance
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
