The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and clear direction to a team of unionized maintenance employees, including millwrights, electricians, and tool room staff. This role ensures that maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and operational standards. The Supervisor manages preventative maintenance programs, coordinates repairs, and supports continuous improvement to maximize equipment uptime. Collaboration with production, engineering, quality, and external vendors is essential to ensure smooth plant operations.

About You
At our company, we are looking for exceptional individuals who can meet the following criteria:
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to urgent needs
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Administer policies consistently and fairly
- Adapt to changing operational needs and priorities
- Education – Technical training or certification in a related field preferred
- Experience – Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including work in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and mechanics.
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Preventative maintenance systems and processes
- Maintenance management software and computerized maintenance scheduling
- Labour relations and unionized work environment
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations
- WHMIS
- Strong leadership, decision making, and team building skills
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in planning, organization, and time management
- Ability to coach, train, and develop employees
- Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving under pressure
