Wesbell is accepting resumes for Foundation Foremen to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing and performing all tasks required to fully construct concrete foundations and create access roads and perimeter fencing for cellular tower sites.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities Include

  • Layout: use blueprints and surveys to determine where to place the foundation
  • Excavation; operating excavators, packers, and bulldozers
  • Tie rebar
  • Pour concrete
  • Compact backfill
  • Concrete finishing
  • Rock drilling, lay out holes, install rebar and grout
  • Pretension rock bolts and grout
  • Install fencing, both permanent and temporary
  • Install entry gates
  • Create access roads; remove topsoil and add gravel
  • Ensure proper inspections for personal safety for self and crew
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

Education (Theoretical Training)

  • High school preferred
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Ladder Safety Training
  • WHMIS
  • Electrical Awareness Training
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training
  • Proper Lifting Techniques Training
  • Occupational Health and Safety for Supervisors and Managers

Job Requirements & Experience

  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
  • Basic knowledge of the operation and safety requirements of power tools
  • Experience in operating excavators, packers, and bulldozers an asset
  • Practical ability and common sense
  • May be required to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customer
  • Manual dexterity is required and mechanical aptitude an asset
  • Have a basic understanding of electricity and electrical safety
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract preferred
  • Must be a team player and have a positive and professional attitude towards work and others
  • Must possess effective supervisory skills and competently direct co-workers
  • Fluent in English written and oral
