Position Overview
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role will involve supplier quality management, contract negotiation, cost control and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational and strategic goals.

This role will involve supplier quality management, contract negotiation, cost control and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational and strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Mandarin is a definite asset
- Must have purchasing experience and be able to read manufacturing drawings
- Formal college or university education
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, performance and developing long-term relationships
- Experience in Metal fabrication, surface finishes, and custom manufacturing environment
- Highly organized, creative and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, and the delivery objectives
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance to align purchasing strategies with operational needs
- Negotiate contacts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform daily reviews of purchase requests and the inventory management system, ensuring purchase orders are issued in a timely manner
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, established purchasing processes, and quality management workflows
