The Project Coordinator supports the Development Projects team in delivering a range of hospitality development initiatives across the Canadian Rockies, including Banff, Jasper, Golden, and Waterton.

This role is responsible for organizing, tracking, and reporting on multiple concurrent projects. It ensures consistency across deliverables, maintains accurate and accessible documentation, and facilitates communication between internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator also plays a key role in establishing baseline schedules, monitoring budgets, and maintaining a consistent reporting cadence.

This role can be based in our Banff, Jasper or Calgary office with frequent travel to sites required .

What will you do in this job?

  • Design and implement standardized project management frameworks, including process visualizations, flowcharts, and deliverable templates to ensure consistency across all initiatives
  • Establish and maintain baseline schedules for each project, ensuring alignment with key milestones and timelines.
  • Monitor project budgets and support financial reporting by providing timely updates and variance analysis
  • Manage project documentation with a focus on version control, accessibility, and organizational clarity.
  • Facilitate regular reporting cycles, including comprehensive status updates and dashboard development to support informed decision-making
  • Enhance cross-functional collaboration through meeting facilitation, detailed note-taking, and proactive follow-up on action item

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Education

Diploma or degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.

PMP or CAPM certification is an asset.

Ideal Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or project controls.
  • Familiarity with construction and development projects.
  • Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
  • Budget tracking and reporting experience.
  • Document control systems (e.g., Procore, SharePoint,).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent presentation skills (Power Point, data charts, Flowcharts, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Director, Development Projects to translate the management vision into tangible deliverables
  • Coordinate closely with the project managers
  • Online meetings with consultants and stakeholders
  • This role may involve occasional site visits (Jasper, Banff, Golden) and interaction with contractors or consultants.
