Dawson Civil is looking to hire an Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) who will provide emergency response to crews in the event of an injury, illness or emergency situation.
In this role you will be a a valued member of Dawson Civil, working in a temporary, full-time position of OFA 3, reporting to the Superintendent of Civil. Your base location will be Merritt, BC and may require some travel throughout our great province.

What Success Looks Like

- Administer first aid services to all personnel on the worksite as necessary
- Obey and follow First Aid protocols set out by ruling government agencies
- Provide First Aid to workers when injured or ill, within your scope of practice
- Familiarize oneself with WCB documentation, OH&S regulations and all pertinent first aid reports
- Be an active participant in all safety meetings
- Follow all Health and Safety rules
- Perform tasks on the crew to support operations in the execution of work and assisting various trades
- May perform other related duties as required
- Occupational First Aid Level Three (3) is required
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC Health & Safety requirements.
- Experience working in a construction environment
- Knowledge and practical experience in incident investigation
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC and applicable regulation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including good oral and written English and the ability to maintain confidentiality
