GEI Consultants is a trusted leader in engineering, environmental, and scientific solutions shaping communities across North America. We’re expanding our Construction Management team in Ontario and seeking a dedicated Construction Supervisor/ Project Manager to join our Guelph office. This role offers the opportunity to oversee construction projects and construction inspection staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage design and construction projects for municipal infrastructure.
  • Supervise and manage construction inspection staff on various types of construction projects.
  • Support project managers in planning, inspector scheduling, and providing input on project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Provide constructablity reviews for a variety of construction projects during the design phase
  • Conduct site inspections, review construction documents, and address technical or operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to team development by mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technolgy or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T. / C. Tech. designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of construction supervision or management experience, ideally in infrastructure, municipal, or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, contract administration, and OPSS specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license.
