We are seeking a Full Time/ Part Time Hostess to join our Food & Beverage Team. As a Hostess, you will work in a fast-paced, quick-service culinary environment for our members and guests, creating exceptional dining experiences every time. Responsibilities

  • Greeting and seating Members on busy evenings
  • Taking and organizing reservations
  • Explaining the menu and making recommendations
  • Bidding the group farewell upon completion of their meal and asking about their experience
  • Bussing as necessary to free up tables
  • Food running to assist servers
  • Effectively address member concerns immediately if possible, and take to supervisor when needed
  • Ensuring the physical areas are well arranged, clean and maintained
  • Ensures compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards, the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission License requirements
  • Ensures adherence and execution of Authentic Hospitality Guide
  • Ensure timely and effective two-way communication between members, guests, staff and supervisor
  • Other assignments as required

Qualifications

  • Previous Food & Beverage experience in a fast-paced service environment is an asset
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with the ability to build rapport with members and team members
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable standing or walking during the length of shift and be able to repetitively lift supplies weighing up to 50lbs
  • It is essential that you present a clean, positive, professional image including skin, hair, fingernails, shoes, name tags, aprons and clothing (uniform). These items are to be neat and clean when you arrive for your shift and maintained. Hair needs to be pulled back and off the shoulders if longer than shoulder length and tied back. Fully closed toed shoes, black socks or issued themed socks and approved uniform are required while on shift
  • ProServe, Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED Certifications are an asset

Additional Details

This is a full-time/ part-time position that reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts including weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace certification prior to commencing employment.
