Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a Specialist Engineered Labour Standards to join our Labour Planning and Optimization team.

Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing

  • Follow and provide recommendations on Engineered Labour Standards guidelines and standards for retail locations
  • Design and conduct sampling studies and linear regression models for selected store characteristics
  • Maintain engineered labour standards up to date and in synch with the business expectations/evolution
  • Maintain consistency in labour standards construction.
  • Propose continuous improvement opportunities with regards to ELS and industrial engineering practice in retail environment
  • Store design: Provide expertise in labour efficient store design (department layout, equipment location, backroom layout, etc.)
  • Customer Experience group: Provide insight on labour impact of new programs/initiatives

What You Have To Offer

  • 2-4 years of Retail industrial engineering experience.
  • Industrial engineering degree or equivalent with P.Eng. or ability to enroll.
  • Experience in Labor Performance, Labour Management and Store Design.
  • Industrial engineering methodologies development using statistical tools such as linear regression and sampling.
