Who We Need

The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making by transforming data into actionable insights. Your will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, documenting data flows, solve and harmonize conflicting data behaviors, and provide data-driven recommendations that support business objectives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders, third-party data vendors and stakeholders to define key metrics, design reports and dashboards, and ensure data integrity. A strong understanding of business operations, analytical metrics and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct business analysis to inform requirements, priorities, and decisions through data and stakeholder needs. Navigate complex business and data environments while collaborating with third-party data vendors and strategic partners;
  • Create business value from data, while ensuring data quality and validation, including version control;
  • Document business processes with data flows;
  • Solve and harmonize misaligned data flows while ensuring consistency, accuracy and usability of data for insights;
  • Effectively communicate analytical findings and actionable insights to influence stakeholders and support informed decision-making;
  • Define data requirements documents and manage data usage and lifecycle;
  • Understand data governance and engineering practices;
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into data requirements;
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights using BI tools.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analyst role, with a strong preference for financial services or insurance services sectors;
  • Experience using business analysis skills with data as a tool, to create better solutions;
  • Experience with multi-stakeholder facilitation, preferably across technology, operations, finance and client functions;
  • Strong understanding of business requirements gathering and documentation of requirements at a business and functional level;
  • Proven experience in business systems process improvement and solution design and/or re-design;
  • Proficient in data analysis and BI tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to consult to stakeholders and guide strategic decisions;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills a proven track-record of resolving data conflicts and harmonizing conflicting data behaviors;
  • Excellent documentation skills for data flows and business processes;
  • Adept at managing competing priorities and driving decisions through thoughtful analysis and influence;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to stakeholders;
  • Curious and growth mindset.
