This position covers our Northern, Interior and Southcoast Region at any of these sales and service dealership locations
This position can be located at either our Kamloops, BC, or Langley, BC, sales and service dealership locations.
SALARY
Base salary plus sales-driven variable compensation with on-target first-year earnings of $100,000 - $125,000
This position is best suited for a highly motivated individual who wants to fast-track their progression to regional sales leadership

The Assistant Regional Used Truck Sales Manager will work closely with the Regional Used Truck Sales Manager and will be responsible for the sales and marketing of all classes of used trucks and securing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of used trucks for the region. This position is accountable for achieving the set objectives for growth in market share of used trucks, ensuring customer retention and profitability by managing used truck inventories and establishing customer-focused sales standards.

The Assistant Regional Used Truck Sales Manager will work closely with the Regional Used Truck Sales Manager and will be responsible for the sales and marketing of all classes of used trucks and securing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of used trucks for the region. This position is accountable for achieving the set objectives for growth in market share of used trucks, ensuring customer retention and profitability by managing used truck inventories and establishing customer-focused sales standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the Regional Used Truck Sales Manager in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Used Truck division for the region.
- Contributes to the forecasting aggressive, yet realistic, annual, and monthly goals and objectives for the department.
- Establishes standards for displaying, merchandising, and maintaining used vehicles.
- Ensures proper follow-up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring the prospecting and sales control system.
- Maintains awareness of the current market/wholesale values of used trucks for the market area.
- Maintains used truck inventory levels by purchasing used trucks and trailers.
- Responsible for the used truck wholesaling for the region; makes assessment if trucks are better suited for wholesale or retail opportunities, ensures safety and wholesale documentation is completed.
- Performs appraisals, sets purchase and sales pricing for used trucks and trailers.
- Follows established processes for bringing used trucks into inventory – enters trucks into computer inventory system and coordinates any needed repairs.
- Ensures that all trucks are reconditioned according to dealership and manufacturer quality and time guidelines.
- Establishes procedures for quick disposal of overaged vehicles.
- Maintains social media presence for the used truck sales for the region, ensures used truck inventory is marketed through appropriate social media channels.
- Works with Inland Lease and Rental division to coordinate lease return disposal.
- Explains, implements, and enforces dealership policies, emphasizing customer satisfaction and a positive dealership image .
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) credential
- Post-secondary education in sales and marketing or trades certification within heavy truck equipment market is an asset
- Medium and heavy-duty truck sales experience or industry knowledge
- 3-5 years related experience in used truck sales or truck sales, with experience leading sales teams
- Familiarity with advertising and the ability to develop social media campaigns and maintain a social media presence
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to use budget forecasting and trend analysis techniques is preferred
- Valid Class 3 license required; Class 1 is an asset
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
