Job Description

Audit and Assurance Manager

Are you a CPA who thrives in a supportive, high-performing environment? Do you want to take the next step in your career with a firm that values balance, flexibility, and leadership development? We're expanding our Toronto office and are looking for an experienced Manager to help lead the charge.

About Us

Our main office is located in Muskoka, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the calm of cottage country. It's a setting that fosters focus, meaningful work, and strong team bonds. Over the years, we've built a reputation for technical excellence and exceptional client service, all while maintaining a genuine commitment to work-life balance.

Now, we're bringing that same energy and culture to our growing Toronto office. As a Manager, you'll play a key role in building the team, shaping the office culture, and delivering top-tier service to clients across a range of industries.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll oversee assurance and tax engagements, guide junior team members, and act as a key point of contact for clients. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading audit, review, compilation, and tax engagements from planning through completion
  • Reviewing working paper files, financial statements, and tax returns (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5)
  • Mentoring and supervising staff, providing on-the-job training and formal feedback
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring timely communication and proactive service

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • No Overtime Culture: Even during busy season. We prioritize effective work over long hours.
  • Flexibility: Work from our Toronto office, remotely, or make the occasional trip to Muskoka, whatever works best for you and the team.
  • Supportive Leadership: You'll work closely with partners and have a voice in how we grow.
  • Real Vacation Time: More paid time off than most firms. We believe in recharging.
  • Opportunities to Grow: You'll have direct input into client strategy, firm improvements, and leadership development.
  • A Balanced Culture: We're serious about our work, but not about ourselves. Professionalism, without the burnout.

  • Strong knowledge of ASPE, assurance standards, and personal and corporate taxation
