Copcan Civil is a leader in civil contracting, construction management, environmental contracting, forestry, demolition, and aggregate sales across British Columbia. Our expertise spans a wide range of services, ensuring we can meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the management of the quality program.
  • Perform document control and prepare correspondence relating to project performance.
  • Attend project meetings and accurately record meeting documents.
  • Modeling safety and health in the workplace.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Record daily progress and prepare weekly field reports.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices with received deliveries and other various bill of lading records.
  • Assist in schedule updates and resource planning.
  • Support the site Superintendent in project planning, correspondence with the Ministry Representative team and manage the submittal, request for information/variance system(s).
  • Ensure record/progress surveys are completed to accompany monthly progress draws.
  • Assist with estimates, prepare quantity takeoffs for labour, equipment, materials, indirect, sub-contractors etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Civil engineering technologist / civil engineering graduate with over 3 years of experience with civil construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding attention to detail, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Familiar with construction survey equipment and methods (considered an asset).
  • Proficient knowledge with MS Office applications, including MS Project
  • AutoCAD / Civil 3D / Trimble Business Centre experience
  • Strong work ethic - ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • A Valid BC Driver’s License.

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $75K-$100K per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
