St. Joseph’s Health Care London’s Pharmacy Department provides care across all St. Joseph’s sites: St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, Parkwood Institute Main Building and Finch Family Mental Health Care Building, and Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health. The Pharmacy Department also provides care directly to members of our community through the two Prescription Shop pharmacies. The Pharmacy Department welcomes learners year-round, including pharmacy technician students, pharmacist students, and a pharmacy resident.
This position has primary responsibility as a clinical pharmacist assigned to the inpatient surgical unit at the St. Joseph’s Hospital site, which specializes in short-stay surgery and complex chronic disease management. Along with pharmacy distribution responsibilities, this pharmacist will collaborate with clinician partners to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in the perioperative environment. Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying and resolving drug therapy problems, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, patient teaching, and supporting the interprofessional health care team.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
- Minimum 2 years relevant and recent hospital or community pharmacy experience
- Part A licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Excellent oral, written and computer skills
- Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
- Display initiative and sound professional judgement
- Customer-focused approach
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Ability to offer and receive constructive feedback with team members
- Proficiency with Cerner/OneChart is an important asset
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Residency Program

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
