GIS Technologist

Job Description

We are currently searching for a GIS Technologist in our Edmonton office.

The successful candidate will be a motivated team player able to work under minimal supervision. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas. This role offers some autonomy, allowing you to take ownership of tasks and contribute to team goals.

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

• A Degree/Diploma in GIS from an accredited post secondary institution.
• At least 3 years experience
• Proven experience with ESRI software.
• Knowledge of geographic coordinate systems and projections.
• Knowledge of various GIS data formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Committed team player.
• Proficiency in creating cartographic map figures using GIS software is considered an asset.
• Experience with relational databases is an asset.
• Programming experience is an asset.
• Experience with GPS survey equipment is an asset.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online & ESRI Apps (Collector, Survey123) is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license
