Journeyman Electrician – Edmonton

We’re looking for a certified Journeyman Electrician to take the lead on maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems in some of the province’s most important commercial and institutional facilities. In this essential role, you’ll lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of electrical systems. Your technical know-how will ensure our buildings remain safe, efficient, and fully operational every day.

Your Day Might Include

  • Perform routine and emergency repairs on electrical systems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and building plans to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and building standards.
  • Test and certify fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Collaborate with building operators and site teams to complete service requests.
  • Document work using digital tools and work order systems.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships through strong communication and reliable service.

About You

  • Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Experience in commercial or institutional building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety codes, fire alarm systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
  • Own basic tools for electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Organized, adaptable, and ready to take ownership of your work.
