Accountabilities:
- Interpreting insurance policy wording, determine policy coverage’s
- Setting up appointments with the insureds
- Provide customer service experience for policyholders and prompt and equitable settlement. Explain claim process to insureds
- Investigate, interpret and confirm coverage issues
- Appraisal and adjustment of complex property claims. Evaluate, negotiate and make final settlement
- Work in collaboration with assigned contractors
- Complete replacement cost on contents and the evaluation of building damages
Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience as a property field claim adjuster
- Excellent knowledge of building construction, the insurance processes and the insurance industry and legislation
- Experience in settling complex property claims
- Knowledge and ability to work with programmes such as Guidewire and Xactimate
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Proficient keyboard skills and computer literacy, word and Excel
- Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with others to reach goals
- Highly motivated and able to work well independently
- Enrollment or willingness to enroll in Insurance Institute courses
