Join our team as a Recreation Therapy Aide and play a key role in enhancing the lives of seniors! You will be responsible for planning and facilitating a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our residents. If you’re passionate about working with seniors and making a meaningful impact through engaging activities, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging recreation programs for residents, promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Assist with seasonal events and special outings, creating memorable experiences for residents.
- Document participation and maintain accurate records, ensuring residents' progress is tracked effectively.
- Prepare and post program notices and calendars, keeping residents and families informed.
- Provide therapeutic one-on-one visits under the guidance of the Director of Recreation Therapy.
- Report residents' progress to the Director, ensuring timely documentation into clinical records.
- Supervise and support volunteers, ensuring smooth program delivery.
- Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Take on cross-functional duties as needed, including assisting with feeding.

Who We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Certification as a Recreation Therapy Aide (or equivalent certification).
- Experience in Long-Term Recreation Therapy is highly desirable.
- Food Safe Handling Certificate.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Supportive Pathway training.
