The role
In this role, the Software Developer will be part of our Driver Team. Driver is a cloud-based geoscience automodeling application that leverages advanced machine learning techniques to help users quickly derive insights from their geoscience drilling data. As a key member of this small, dynamic development team, the Software Developer have the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, directly contributing to the development of our market-leading solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Software Design
- Create and document detailed designs for simple software applications or components.
- Appl y agreed modelling techniques, standards, patterns , and tools.
- Contribute to the design of components of larger software systems, ensuring alignment with overall design requirements, including security.
- Accountable to validate and review o wn work .
- Perform peer review and validation as required.
- Design, code, verif y , test, document, amend , and refactor simple programs/scripts.
- Appl y agreed standards, tools , and basic security practices to achieve a well-engineered result.

- Assist with release management tasks.
- Support the collection of data and information for release planning and scheduling.
- Assist in the preparation of release materials and resources. Help document and maintain records of release activities. Participate in basic testing and quality assurance tasks and issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s d egree in c omputer s cience, software development , or equivalent .
- 3 + years working in relevant Software Development roles , ideally focused on web development .
- Experience with Python and/o r Javascript .
- Experience with developing RESTful APIs and/or front-end applications .
- Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps practices .
- Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL .
- Experience with Flask or FastAPI .
- Exposure to Three.js or 3D rendering on the web .
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies .
- Experience with one of the major cloud platforms: Azure, GCP, AWS .
- Infrastructure-as-code experience , ideally Terraform .
