This role is essential for executing service work at customer sites, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget. Be part of a team that values professionalism, technical expertise, and continuous improvement.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Perform transformer installation and maintenance activities.
- Replace bushings and repair transformer leaks.
- Conduct electrical testing of transformers, including power factor, ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, and SFRA.
- Operate and maintain transformer oil processing rigs.
- Maintain tools and work trailers.
- Ensure all site work meets proper safety requirements.
- Handle post-commissioning warranty activities.
- Build customer relationships and make recommendations regarding equipment performance.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Trade education, college or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical field service experience or relevant substation/transformer experience (manufacturing, engineering design, factory project management).
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and acceptable driver’s record.
- Willingness to work in different conditions and hours.
- Willingness to travel for development and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
- Mid-level computer operation skills, including word processing, database programs, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and department-utilized software application programs.
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
