What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Manager, Card Partnerships will report into the Director, Marketing Strategy and Planning, and is responsible for developing and driving the end-to-end marketing communication strategy, roadmap and sales targets for the Credit Card Partnerships Portfolios to enable Tangerine to achieve its strategic objectives.

  • Focusing on the Client, drive sustained and measurable revenue growth through planning, development and delivery of card and loyalty focused client acquisition, growth and retention marketing programs.
  • Develop strategy and supporting data & marketing infrastructure to engage with growth audiences through offers, experiences, and programs.

The successful candidate will possess strong strategic marketing skills, understand the Client journey and Value Pathway, financial and business acumen along with experience working in card partnerships and a sales driven organization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Through collaboration with your partners, you are accountable for end-to-end integrated marketing strategy across external and internal channels for respective product lines.
  • Lead the strategic development of comprehensive annual marketing plans, and go to market strategies to support the mandate for acquisition, growth and retention for respective product portfolios, including Product launches and partnership programs, to achieve Client and product level goals.
  • Drive marketing strategies to generate results and sales based on solid analysis including Client behavior, purchase propensity, channel optimization, profiling & segmentation to drive message relevance.
  • Collaborates closely with Performance Marketing team and other marketing planners to drive new to bank acquisition, understand media opportunities to optimize client awareness, consideration and conversion throughout the acquisition funnel & defines/supports associated media budgets (where applicable).
  • Develop and lead the process for creative development, including creative briefs for media and agency partners, reviewing and providing feedback, and gathering alignment.
  • Leads communications of marketing strategy and the roadmap for respective product portfolios to all internal marketing and cross-functional partners to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization.
  • Ensure Tangerine remains in compliance, and is aware of all banking/regulatory requirements, amendments and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all campaign and communication governance are in compliance with a 100% audit KPI.
  • Manages forecasts and performance updates for campaigns and respective KPIs – reviewing all performance reports and actioning key learnings and insights regularly.
  • Manages assigned budget, providing monthly reporting to Finance and Marketing Operations.
  • Collaborates with channel and function leads including media, creative, content, development teams, analytics and others.
  • Drive marketing strategies to generate results and sales based on solid analysis including Client behavior, purchase propensity, channel optimization, profiling & segmentation to drive message relevance.
  • Develop forecasts, determine marketing budgets (communications and production) to achieve targets; monitor/share performance and reconcile budgets regularly, and build action plans to address gaps as required.

Skills

  • University degree in business, marketing or related program
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in loyalty & partnerships.
  • Proven experience managing creative development and agency relationships.
  • Strong understanding of co-branded marketing and partnership dynamics.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
