We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to manage our Equipment Procurement team across the West, Ontario, and Atlantic regions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have deep technical knowledge of supermarket equipment and refrigeration, this is your opportunity to shape the future of our store infrastructure.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Lead the regional purchasing team, including selection, onboarding, training, performance development, and succession planning
- Manage purchases of production equipment, refrigeration, and store signage across all banners
- Oversee replenishment purchases and ensure timely delivery
- Collaborate on RFPs with Strategic Sourcing and participate in the equipment selection process
- Ensure project timelines are met and purchasing workload is effectively prioritized and managed amongst the team
- Oversee processing of equipment invoices
- Partner with the Construction team to deliver capital plan projects
- Support the Design team during plan execution
- Lead regular team meetings and ensure compliance with Provincial Health and Safety codes
- Maintain store equipment specification sheets
- Drive research and development of new equipment solutions
- Maintain equipment data integrity in purchasing system
What you have to offer:
- Undergraduate degree or a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong technical knowledge of supermarket equipment and refrigeration
- Solid understanding of standards and regulations related to refrigeration
- Proven Team leadership experience, including team development and performance management
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Recognized for your communication skills, strategic thinking, and ability to perform under pressure
- Negotiation skills
