The Opportunity
Responsibilities
As a Substitute Teacher, you are responsible for demonstrating the competencies and abilities outlined in the Alberta Education Teaching Quality Standard. You will:
- Teach the programs of study
- Differentiate and adapt the curriculum for all learners
- Collaborate with staff to create a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for every student
- Bachelor of Education
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to work in multi-graded classrooms
- A history of working collaboratively with colleagues
- NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) is an asset
- Effective technology integration skills
- Familiarity with Google Classroom is an asset
- Strong differentiation skills
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Clear understanding of Inclusive Education
- An original copy of a current clean criminal record check (with vulnerable sector - dated within the last 6 months)
- An original copy of a child intervention record check (dated within the last 6 months)
