The Senior Analyst, Regulatory Intelligence & Optimization contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Regulatory Obligations Program by leveraging AI, advanced business intelligence tools, and RegTech platforms to safeguard enterprise-wide compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Intelligence & Optimization, the Senior Analyst collaborates closely with Pillar Leads, Business Line / Corporate Function Compliance across the Bank's footprint and key partners in Technology and associated RegTech platforms to address initiatives designed to support the team's strategies and objectives, ensuring that activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Intelligence & Optimization, the Senior Analyst collaborates closely with Pillar Leads, Business Line / Corporate Function Compliance across the Bank's footprint and key partners in Technology and associated RegTech platforms to address initiatives designed to support the team's strategies and objectives, ensuring that activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Assist with the execution of the Regulatory Library and Regulatory Change Management framework.
- Support coordination between RegTech vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective platform integration.
- Contribute to the Bank’s end-to-end Regulatory Library and Regulatory Change Management lifecycle by leveraging AI, business intelligence tools, and RegTech solutions.
- Assist in the design, development, and execution of the Regulatory Obligations Program, identifying integration opportunities to reduce silos and foster cross-functional collaboration within Global Compliance.
- Maintain and compile metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the Regulatory Library and Regulatory Change Management processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Execute sustainable optimization strategies to strengthen the Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders across the second line (2A/2B) and technology teams to facilitate effective adoption and execution of program initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and promoting innovative thinking.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with ScotiaBond, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, and conduct risk.

- Incorporate the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture into day-to-day activities and strategic decisions.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary education required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably within a Regulatory Compliance, Audit, Monitoring, Testing, or Risk Management function.
- Understanding of regulatory/control frameworks, compliance strategies, change management, and project execution.
- Experience supporting complex projects and programs, including translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
- Adept at adopting innovative solutions, including AI and emerging technologies, to enhance operational excellence and decision-making.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel), business intelligence tools (PowerBI) and regulatory technology platforms (OpenPages, CUBE).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain high-quality reports for senior leadership, with meticulous attention to detail and a strong aptitude for data visualization.
- Highly motivated, solution-oriented, and adept at navigating fast-paced, dynamic environments while managing multiple priorities amid ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building collaborative and productive relationships across business lines/functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
