Reporting to the Grain Operations Manager, the individual will participate in general maintenance of the site, including snow removal, yard care, material transport and general upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Manage and clear snow throughout the sight with a focus on walkways and egress
- The movement of van trailers onsite and offsite
- Operate skid-steer, snow blower, tractor and zoom boom and trackmobile
- Movement of bulk material throughout site, loading trailer with skid steer
- Maintaining safe walking paths and egress routes, clearing snow, salting and sanding
- Assist in the handling of waste process material onsite
- Monitor and empty vacuum collection system
- Participate in a respectful work environment where employees can bring forward not only ideas and improvements but concerns of all nature, including safety and harassment issues.
- Utilize the CMMS including creation of notifications and completion of work orders.
- Willing to work flexible hours to mitigate impact of snow events
- Act as a back-up operator in bulk-loadout and back-up operator of trackmobile
- Other duties as assigned.
Hours
- Flexible schedule required
- Overtime may be required during peak periods
Pay: $25.00 an hour
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in operating heavy equipment
- Experience in food processing considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Class 1 License
