You are organized, responsible, and alert. You maintain the highest safety standards and have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. You are a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You tend to lean more towards the good aspects of a situation, welcome a chance to learn new things and receive satisfaction from putting in a solid day’s work.
This temporary position will start during the week of October 20 and will last approximately one week in duration. You will be assisting in our annual mill maintenance shutdown at Northwood Pulp Mill. Your primary responsibilities will be running parts from stores, cleaning and returning parts, cleaning up behind tradespeople, cleaning maintenance shops, providing spark watch during hot work and managing "control zones" during crane lifts. You’re going to be getting your hands dirty, but you’ve never been one to shy away from hard work.
In a perfect world, you have prior industrial work experience and/or equivalent training. Previous shutdown/maintenance experience and prior knowledge of pulp and paper industry would really, “lend a helping hand” to your application.
