Position Description

We’re looking for a Controls Designer to join our engineering team. You’ll be applying your knowledge gained from your engineering degree or engineering diploma in the design of custom HVAC equipment. You’ll be working with our team of professional engineers, engineers-in-training and technologists located in Calgary to deliver tailored customer HVAC solutions.

This would be the perfect opportunity if have more than two or more years of experience in control design with an Electrical and Controls related program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during installation and testing
• Create control schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers for the project related concerns
• Selecting and incorporating control devices utilizing 4-20mA and 0-10 V signal signatures
  
  

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in an engineering experience in an engineering environment.
• Proficiency in ladder logic, function block diagrams and structured text across various platforms would be an asset.
• Experience in designing and integrating PLC systems with an understanding of networking and communication protocols, such as Ethernet/IP, or Modbus
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• You may have even had some electrical design experience with software like AutoCAD Electrical and have done three phase power design for systems 800 Amps or less.
