The Role
The Digital Print Operator will be operating a HP Indigo 12000, ensuring compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures. This individual will also coordinate workload schedules to meet customer deadlines, while achieving optimum productivity.
This role will work at our North York (Thistle) site on the afternoon shift from 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

The Digital Print Operator will be operating a HP Indigo 12000, ensuring compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures. This individual will also coordinate workload schedules to meet customer deadlines, while achieving optimum productivity.
This role will work at our North York (Thistle) site on the afternoon shift from 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a HP Indigo 12000 to print static and variable commercial print jobs in Colour and B&W
- Read dockets thoroughly and sign run/quality sheets for all jobs.
- Conduct Quality checks – before, during and after jobs are complete, communicate issues to the lead hand or Supervisor/Manager
- Prioritize the workload during your shift based on finishing and delivery expectations.
- Work effectively as a part of a team to achieve optimum quality and meet deadlines.
- Physical movement of product to and from the department.
- Follow health and safety and environmental protocols
- Ensure RMI inventory is monitored, docket calc match and spoilage is recorded
- Promote consistent process/procedure continuous improvements
- Experienced operating a HP Indigo 12000 equipment, with a certification in HP Indigo Digital Press Level 1.
- Strong understanding of variable print and different styles of print, book blocks, coil, saddle stitching etc.
- Excellent communication skills to interpret incoming information onto production staff
- Strong Customer Service skills, logic and mathematical abilities
- Proven organizational, time management, and multi-tasking/priority setting skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision
- Able to work overtime to meet production requirements sometimes with short notice
