About the role
We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our Engineering and Production Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily activities of receiving, processing, shipping, maintenance of the warehouse space, creating reports, and other duties as assigned. This role ensures that all shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely, while maintaining smooth operations in the warehouse. What you'll do
The Shipping & Receiving Associate will have a range of responsibilities, including:
Shipping:
  • Prepare items for shipment by packing, counting, labeling, crating and uncrating parts, organizing orders, and ensuring proper documentation is included with every order
  • Coordinate with domestic and international shipping carriers to schedule pickups, follow up with brokers as needed and ensure timely delivery of shipments
  • Track shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery and resolve shipping issues if necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of shipping procedures, rates, and regulations
Receiving:
  • Greet drivers, check packing slips, unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damages, verify quantities against purchase orders
  • Record and document all received items in inventory management systems
  • Ensure received products are correctly stored in designated areas within the warehouse
  • Report discrepancies or damage in shipments to management or vendors
Inventory:
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage of products including but not limited to inventory, raw materials, shipping materials and finished goods
  • Perform annual physical inventory count and cycle counts as required
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, update bin locations and investigate discrepancies as required
Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Operate material handling equipment safely
  • Ensure that packaging materials and shipping containers comply with company and legal standards
  • Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and free of hazards
About You
  • APICs or SCMP certification, and Forklift Operator Certification is preferred
  • 2-4+ years of experience in Shipping and Receiving, including international shipping experience
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50lbs or more
  • Ability to stand, bend, or lift for long periods
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting
  • Strong Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software skills, familiarity inventory management software, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately
  • Methodology for putting parts away, picker friendly
  • Good understanding of fasteners and electronic parts are an asset

During the interview process, your Recruiter will explain how our rubrics work across all our total rewards (base, equity, bonus, perks, benefit, culture) offerings. The base salary for this role is targeted between $43,040 - $64,560 CAD per year. The final offer is determined by your proficiencies within the level
