We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Supervisor to lead and support our unionized production team. The Extrusion Supervisor will report directly to the Extrusion Manager and will be responsible for ensuring a safe workplace, maintaining product quality, and achieving production targets through effective leadership and lean management principles. This role includes supervising all aspects of the extrusion process, managing shift schedules, ensuring compliance with the collective agreement, and driving continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in aluminum extrusion, strong leadership and communication skills, and the flexibility to work weekly rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights) based on production needs.

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Supervisor to lead and support our unionized production team. The Extrusion Supervisor will report directly to the Extrusion Manager and will be responsible for ensuring a safe workplace, maintaining product quality, and achieving production targets through effective leadership and lean management principles. This role includes supervising all aspects of the extrusion process, managing shift schedules, ensuring compliance with the collective agreement, and driving continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in aluminum extrusion, strong leadership and communication skills, and the flexibility to work weekly rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights) based on production needs.
Shifts Available and Hours:
- Onsite position
- Weekly Rotating shifts, based on production schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a unionized heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written), with the ability to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Proficient in computer systems (experience with AS400 and AutoCAD is an asset).
- Engineering training or equivalent experience in manufacturing or extrusion (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aluminum extrusion (highly preferred).
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Flexibility to work all three production shifts listed above.
- Ensure the safety of the team throughout the extrusion production process.
- Supervise and lead a team of unionized workers across all shifts.
- Maintain consistent product quality throughout the extrusion process.
- Achieve production targets and operational goals using lean management principles.
- Oversee the extrusion process, ensuring optimal performance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Participate in the employee payroll process and manage shift schedules.
- Ensure compliance with the collective agreement and consistently apply its terms.
- Report daily production results, team performance, and any issues to management.
- Continuously monitor and improve production efficiency and quality.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
