ARTERRA PRODUCTION FACITIY – HVAC TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: Oliver, BC

COMPENSATION: $44.07 hourly CAD

Role Summary

This role is responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and related equipment to the highest standards within our Oliver, BC production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Diagnose problems and conditions of mechanical failures and then acquire necessary parts to fix the issue.
  • Service and repair defective equipment, test the repairs, and document the cause of the malfunction, repairs made, and the parts replaced.
  • Advise supervisors on the progress of work and the condition of the equipment once the job is completed
  • Monitor operation of Low-pressure boiler, Hot water systems, Glycol systems, chilled water systems, air compressor systems.
  • Completing and updating daily, weekly and monthly equipment CMMS Logs

What You Bring

  • Red Seal Certification as HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic required
  • 4th class power engineering and/or Gas ticket an asset
  • Experience in refrigeration operation or power engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Varied experience in building maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of operating and maintenance of equipment, working in a safe manner following WCB regulations;
  • Able and willing to work varied shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Able to convey technical information through sketches and drawings
  • Anticipate and analyze problems and initiate appropriate solutions
  • Fall protection, scissor lift, forklift training/certification an asset
